Duet is an ongoing video project (2010 – 2012) in collaboration with Bas Schevers. The work originates from an exchange of extracted audio from video tracks. After the first part of the film is shot, the audio is extracted from the video, passed on to the other artist and reinterpreted. By reinterpreting the audio material the artist has to make sure that these new images fit with the sound. In this way, a new video track is created that corresponds to the same sound. After this the interpreter films a new part and again the audio is extracted, given back, and so on.
